Sieve calibration

  1. Have a sample available and break it down into fragments.
  2. Sieve a portion of the sample using "standard sieves" (sieves used specifically for calibration).
  3. Sieve another portion using the working sieves.
  4. Record the weight retained on each sieve.
  5. Compare the results from the standard sieves to the other sieves.
  6. If the results differ, it is recommended to replace the working sieves.
